I’m going to Bloggers on Bourbon!

The double entendre cannot be ignored…

Although bourbon is not my drink of choice, but beggars can’t be choosers….

Have you ever been to a blogging conference or have you wanted to?  I’ve been to one, Blogher ’09 and I proudly say that I didn’t attend a single class.  Not one.  I honestly didn’t even look at the schedule.  Wanna know why?  Too much socializing.  Seriously.  And I’m not what anyone would call a social butterfly either, but get a bunch of bloggers in a room who normally only get to chat from the other side of the country over a computer and FUN happens.  It was surreal being surrounded by all the wonderful ladies that I had chatted with online for so long, that it was the only thing that mattered to me – spending as much time with them as possible.

So.

New Orleans, LA.

Land of Cajun cooking and flashing for beads.

I don’t eat seafood and I’m somewhat of a prude.

But I am more excited about this trip than I was about Blogher.  There is no pressure to conform to anyone’s perceptions.  There is no mad grab for swag.  It’s a completely different atmosphere, not only the setting but the meetup itself.  30 bloggers in New Orleans and the only goal is to get together and have a good time.

I don’t think you can teach social media.

You have to experience it.

Full blown.

In the trenches.

With lots of alcohol (ok, well the alcohol isn’t really necessary but it sure helps).
