This blog and all the comments have been interesting to read. I signed up on Bigspot and have cahsed out 3 times at 25 bucks each. The first time it did take forever [nearly 2 1/2 months] and I did think it was a scam, but the other times they went through in 2-3 weeks.

I didn’t think it was so bad, yes the money grows slow but what to do people expect? If these things got you rich quick then everyone would be doing them. I dont think there are any sites where you can make any real money doing surveys [if there is sign me up!] but rather this is a way to earn some extra dinner or movie cash.

Its interesting to see all the negative comments because I was pretty satisfied, so if this is a bad sigh, I must go look for the good ones then lol the only other site I use is GlobalTestMarket which does the annoying point system. All the other ones Ive seen do the point system as well. I liked big spot because the values were given in cold hard cash.

Either way I will continue to use BigSpot. I never got spammed in my email once I signed up…so what they do with the info is beyond me.

I unfortunately deleted the website but my question is are these companies legit. I remember an email telling me that if I tested their products I can keep them. Items like computers, games etc. Have u heard of this if so please educate me on this matter so that I can take advantage of this market… David

I’ve tried taking surveys before to earn some cash online (my initial online venture), but I failed miserably. Not that I failed to do them right, but the website I used was a rip-off. Lesson learned.

I’m sorry to hear about your situation and the loss of your husband.
A lot of what is out there is a scam, and anything that isn’t is not going to bring in a ton of money. The people who do the best are parents of young children with paid surveys.

BUT, if you want to try, I have some LEGIT companies listed on this page: http://accidentalmommies.com/free-paid-surveys/

They will never ask you for money and they do pay if you complete surveys. The hard part will be qualifying for them with your demographics (age and marital status and such).

Good luck, I wish I could do more to help.

Big spot is a ripoff. First, most of the surveys they give you to take will gather some information from you, then tell you you are not qualified for the survey (still haven’t figured that one out yet). Second, you will fill out a whole survey to be told at the end, that the survey is already full and your’s will not be used. Last, most of the surveys you will get only pay $1. It will take you 15 minutes to do, so basically you are working for $4 an hour.

Big Spot is obviously an affiliate marketer, and gets paid the lions share of your work. Stay away.

I did an online survey for JC Penny that promised a $500 gift card if I completed it. After
an hour and a half of answering the same questions over and over again I stopped, never got to the gift card area at all.
Within the next week I started getting emails from dozens of companies and people daily. I had to change my email account because I was receiving 60 to 80 emails per day!
JC Penny is one of those scamers also!
