The next gift we are unwrapping in our Kids & Charity Giveaway is a Nana Star and the Moonman storybook and a Moonman Lovey plush to one of YOU and the same book and plush figure to charity to the Household Pantry at the First United Methodist Church in Lowell, IN.
Back in September I actually wrote a review for the first Nana Star book and the Nana Star Posable Doll. Here is a quote from that review:
Nana Star is a story about a little girl who finds a fallen baby star. The little girl sets out on a journey to return the star to his home. They are guided by the Moonman on their way. The writing is very vivid and hits on all of the senses, and the illustrations are light and beautiful. We enjoyed the story and I was again surprised by how much Jake seem affected by it. Somehow it really struck a chord with him and he wanted to re-start the CD and re-read the book, and he actually wanted to do it by himself.
Nana Star and the Moonman is a great fit for our Because It’s Christmas Kids & Charity Giveaway. The book and the Moonman Lovey have both won the Dr. Toy “100 Best Children’s Products” honor and various other awards. They are wonderful products that promote so many positive things.
From the website:
The Nana Star® children’s picture book series motivates kids to read and write through inspirational and educational stories that encourage learning, capture their imaginations, and stimulate their creative minds. The award-winning children’s reading books offer kids stories of fantasy and magical adventure accompanied by vintage illustration, while delivering real life lessons and promoting such traditional virtues as compassion, kindness, and generosity.
Nana Star and the Moonman continues the Nana Star story where the first book left off. Kids won’t care if they have never read the first one, the story stands on it’s own and brings back the same vivid writing and beautiful illustrations. The story is inspiring and the Moonman just begs to be hugged!
The good news is that your child can hug the Moonman because he comes in the form of a plush Lovey. The Moonman lovey is so soft and he even glows and plays music when his tummy gets hugged. He comforts, protects and watches over them as they drift off to dreamland.
Nana Star and the Moonman and the Moonman Lovey plush are a fantastic gift idea for Christmas. The story is so sweet and magical and the Moonman Lovey is just, well…AWESOME. The way his head glows and the comforting song he plays will provide comfort and security as your kids fall asleep.

I have your button on my blog!
I like the learning lessons it has , all the questions are kind of neat. I would love this it’s one of the very few stuffed doll type things that a boy could have that doesn’t look so girly.
I was amazed by the fact that they have videos of the songs, with SIGN LANGUAGE! what a wonderful, and considerate gift, to the hearing impaired, I wish more sites did this! I haven’t had the opportunity to share Nana Star and the Moonman with my children, but I have heard such great things, I am excited to have the opportunity!
