The first thing I noticed about the Let’s Go Walking Puppy from North Star Toys when I opened the box was the smell. Yes, me and my nose at work again. Even through the stuffy nose of my cold, I could smell freshly sawn wood. And it smelled good and natural and real.

The Let’s Go Walking Puppy is about 7″ long and 4″-5″ high. He has ball wheels and a nylon pull cord with a wooden dowel at the end for a good grip! The puppy is very sturdy and extremely well built. All of his edges are rounded so they are soft and smooth on little hands and he rolled across the carpet and a hard floor with ease.

I am so excited to have this toy for Abby. The idea of a handcrafted, natural, toy that is safe and durable really makes me feel like I am providing the best play opportunities that I can for her. North Star Toys exemplifies the idea of a Green Company, and their toys stand out for their quality and their potential for little imaginations to conjure up all kinds of wonderful stories and adventures.
