At least he’s polite…

This morning Jake was being particularly good from the minute he got up. Usually he’s grouchy. He let the dog out without complaining, fed the dog without being asked, carried some stuff up the stairs for Ed and even picked up a dog hair tumbleweed off the floor.

After he did all this I walked up to him, bent down and gave him a big old bear hug and said, “good morning!” As I did this, I bent him backwards a little bit and just kept hugging him.

He said “good morning!”

We stood there for a minute – I wasn’t about to let go.

Then he said, “ok, can we please stop now?”

How could I not laugh?

when mine do something without being asked, I get suspicious lol. They either want something or they’re sick! It’s definitely cute though and i always appreciate any extra help.

When ashley was about 4 she loved to help with the dishes. So i’d wash and let her rinse. It was so cute to see her standing in a chair with plastic gloves on helping out.

  2. It’s so funny how these things they do are so big to us and just everyday life for them. I feel the same about my little guy. He put diapers away for me yesterday in the exact place I put them, even organized them nicely. I was so excited I hugged and squeezed him and all he wanted to do was get out of my clutches :).
