A summer read as we leave summer behind…

I must admit to being the slowest reader in the world. I got a book at the end of June and am still reading it, and it has nothing to do with the book because I am really enjoying it. That is why I am still reading it.

But I’m sloooooow.

Anyhow, as much as I cannot fully review the book yet, I wanted to make sure to let everyone know about it before the idea of a summer book gives way to pumpkins and turkeys.

The book is called The Beach House and was written by Jane Green. Jane Green is a New York Times bestselling author who “writes about the true-to-life dilemmas of women.”

There is a cast of several characters in several different walks of life that you will meet in The Beach House, and they are all intriguing. As the stories unfold, I want to continue to learn more about the characters and how, if at all, their lives will touch each other.

This book goes a bit beyond “chic-lit” and explores lives and relationships in a deeper way, however, it’s a light enough read to just enjoy occasionally and relax on those long summer (or fall) days.

If you would like more info about the Author, you can visit her website at Jane Green.com. You can purchase The Beach House at most major bookstores including Amazon.com
