I'm an art teacher (or I was before the baby)and I think your crosshatching technique is great. I'd love to see some sketches from life, in addition to the ones from photos. He is the only one in my immediate family that could draw and we have no idea where all that talent came from but he passed it down to both of his children because they both can sketch and paint as well. His oldest daughter majored in college for this. You should keep sketching you did a great job :) I can’t even draw stick men lol
