3 year old boy who can’t sleep

Last night my son was up a few times complaining about this or that. He’s got a stuffy nose, likely from allergies, and it keeps him up. This morning my husband was watching the news and came upstairs and said, “you think we’ve got it bad, there’s a 3 year old boy who hasn’t slept since he’s been born.”

CNN.com has a video regarding the boy: The kid who can’t sleep. I can’t even imagine how difficult it is for these parents. It’s hard enough now getting just 6 hours straight from Abby!

He’s supposedly undergoing surgery that may correct the problem, but it is a 50/50 shot. With all the medical advances today, this one seems like it should be simple, but I guess when you are dealing with the human brain, exact science is just not always possible.

    Sheila,
It’s hard enough with a normal four year and 4 month old (mine are 4 years and 6 months) to get enough sleep, I can’t even begin to imagine what this family is going through.

I’ve been trying to find info on how he is doing but as of yet, I am unsuccessful.
