Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce - review and GIVEAWAY
THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED AND COMMENTS ARE NOW CLOSED
Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce was created in 1968 by Country Bob Edson. He began to sell it in 1977 after years of giving it to family and friends. Today Country Bob’s also sells BBQ sauce, Seasoning Salt and Spicy All Purpose Sauce in addition to the regular All Purpose Sauce.
When I was offered an opportunity to try Country Bob’s and I asked my husband if he was interested, he jumped at the chance. As the chef in our family, he always on the lookout for great sauces and other flavorful things to enhance our meals.
We received two bottles of Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce:

And here is what my husband had to say about it:
Anyone who has been down the condiment and sauce aisle of their local grocery store and actually paid attention to the shelves, the thought that has to go through ones mind is, “do we really need another sauce?” With all the sauces and variations out there, do we really need another? That was my initial thought when I was presented with the opportunity to try Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce. My attitude quickly changed. It truly has a unique flavor…it is sweet, it is tangy, it is spicy, no one flavor is overpowering, which is what makes it so charming.
The ultimate test is when my nearly five year old son asked for it with his lunch. He cleaned his plate. I have used it as a stand alone sauce, I have used it in lieu of steak sauce in numerous recipes, I have used it in marinates as a substitute for worcheshire sauce, in oriental stir fry in lieu of stir fry sauce…you get the idea. This is one tasty sauce. On steak, on chicken, on French fries, as a dipping sauce, it was even good in lieu of cocktail sauce to compliment saute’d shrimp.
If you can go wrong with this sauce, I have not found a way!
As a treat last week, my husband bought a big steak and served it up with some Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce. Look at that BIG steak!

Usually when we have anything that isn’t pasta, Jake takes forever to eat his dinner. He will usually down the potatoes right away and them most of the vegetables but he will play with the meat forever before finally eating it (usually due to threats of being sent to bed early). Look at what happened when Ed gave Jake Country Bob’s along with his steak:

The meat was almost gone before I could even get my camera ready and snap the picture. Jake pretty much now asks for Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce with everything that you would possibly use sauce with, and even some things you wouldn’t!
Country Bob’s is generously offering 2 winners, 2 bottles of Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce each!
To enter to win 2 bottles of Country Bob’s:
Visit Country Bob’s and take a look at their “Great Recipes” section. Come back here and tell us which recipe you are most interesting in trying.
That’s it!
