Clorox Green Works Natural Dish Washing Liquid - a review
Now that we have a baby in the house again I have become overly paranoid about the cleaning products that I use. Regardless of the situation, I try and use natural cleaning products as often as I can.
Recently, Mom Central sent me a wonderful product from Clorox to try that is part of a new line of products called Green Works that will allow you to clean your entire house both safely and environmentally friendly.
About Clorox Green Works
From their site:
All Green Works natural cleaners are made using plant-based ingredients derived from coconuts, as well as essential oils. The products are formulated using biodegradable ingredients, are packaged in bottles that can be recycled and not tested on animals.

Our experience with it
We received a bottle of the Clorox Green Works Natural Dish Washing Liquid and I was very excited. I’ve been using some very expensive natural products and the idea that I could buy a similar product at a more budget-friendly price was very appealing to me. The Green Works products sell for $2.99 to $3.59 and although I cannot put a price on my children’s safety, I love the idea of a more affordable product.
The first thing I noticed about this product was the scent. It is fantastic! I can’t even really explain how it smells, but it is fresh and light and sometimes I stop by the sink when I am in the kitchen and open the bottle just to smell it. Really. I sniff dish soap.
We have a dishwasher but we have certain cookwear that my husband insists get washed by hand. Personally I prefer plastic, but that tends to melt on the stove. Usually the dishes that get washed by hand are the Calphalon pans that get burgers or pork chops fried in them and they get GREASY! Well, I put a little squirt of the Green Works Dish Soap on a particularly crusty and dirty pan, let it soak for about 10 minutes and went back to wash it. I was surprised that the pan came clean as quickly and easily as it did. The Green Works cut through the grease! And the best part of it was the smell. Usually the smell of a flowery dish soap mixed with the grease of a frying pan is enough to make me gag, but the Green Works neutralized the grease odor and left my nose a lot happier!

SO glad I found this post! I’ve been a little wary of trying this line of products, not wanting to waste the money if they didn’t work. Thanks!

Glad I saw this too, been wondering, I get tired of the lfuffy smelling stuff that makes you wanna toss dinner when the smells combine. About time someone put something that was not all poofy and flowery out…and hate the ones that no matter how much you rinse they still have the residue smell on it and sometimes ruins food becuase of the overscent.

I just posted a review on this as well, lol. I love love love the smell, isn’t it awesome. I hate to admit, but I have a habit of smelling it when walking by myself. I can’t pinpoint the scent & I think that is why. It reminds me a bit of apples, not sure if that is real or the color makes me think apples, lol.

Thanks for letting me know you tried it and that you like it. I am still surprised at how much easier our greasy pans are to wash after soaking in this for just a few minutes.
