1,000th Post – I shoulda’ been a recording artist

Below is what my WordPress Dashboard looked like right before I published this post, which means this post is #1,000 for us.

I thought about doing a big to-do with giveaways and all kinds of exciting things, or coming up with a poignant and moving tribute to the past and where we are going in the future, but I decided to let it pass without too much hullaballoo (is that a word?).

I would like to call some attention to the fact that we have had more spam comments than approved comments (man people are bored) but also note that we have averaged 40 comments per post (some with none, and some with thousands…).

I would also like to note that we have had over 160,000 unique visitors since July of 2008 and over 400,000 page loads.

But mostly I’m just going to sit back and be thankful.

So seriously, I decided I want to be a recording artist, anybody wanna give me a contract?  (ok, cut me some slack, I was driving when I recorded that…you can even hear the turn signal and my keys)

Look out Britney!  (yeah right)

Or hey, maybe I could be a Wiggle!  That one guy is always asleep anyway… Yeah, I’ll be the green Wiggle.  But I need a gimmick…like the blue one eats a lot, the red one plays the guitar, the purple one falls asleep…BTW, what does the yellow one do?

What’s my gimmick???
