1 year and 43 lbs later….

I spent some time yesterday uploading my photos from Bloggers On Bourbon, putting up my first post about the event and looking at other people’s photos.  At one point I ended up looking at the Flickr Photostream from last year at this time at Blogher.  I knew I had lost a lot of weight since then, but I didn’t realize the physical difference.

I mean, I knew I had dropped 3-4 clothing sizes so far.  I knew I had lost weight.  But I hadn’t looked at my “before” picture in a long time.

I’ve still got a little ways to go, but this has totally inspired me to get to my goal.

      I think when you see someone even semi-frequently you don’t notice it as much. I hardly noticed it all except for the smaller clothes until I saw those pictures.

      Even Ed said, after seeing the picture “no….you never were that big”…well, the proof is in the photo.

      I want to lose 15 more before Christmas. I think then I’ll be done or close to it.

      • That’s pretty cool to have those pictures exactly a year apart so you can compare. That’s awesome how you’ve lost so much weight! YAY!!!

        I swear if you try the South Beach Diet, you will make your gain sooner than you think. The cool thing about this diet is after you have lost the weight you want, you move to Phase 3 which is the “Lifestyle” phase. I feel AMAZING after 10 days on Phase 1. Not hungry, eating very healthy and REAL foods. I highly recommend it!

          Thanks Laura! I’m intrigued by the South Beach Diet and am going to see if my library has the book. I prefer to check it out that way before buying it.
